Went to two meetings today. I've been missing my AA friends and the clarity I get from a meeting. I also met two members that were FB friends only before and it was good to see them in person. I went last weekend as well and was reminded that alcoholism is a primary disease and occurs independent of other life events. Sometimes I forget my lessons and it helps to hear other people whom are in my stage of sobriety or earlier or beyond. Often the things I say and the experience, strength and hope that I share is something I need to hear myself say. There was a pig roast today, fellowship, friends and living proof that it works. As my friend Jerry was fond of saying "The program doesn't fail people but there are some people who fail the program." A good day all in all, here's to God for letting me have another.
